best sex

Part 3 of a series on sex.

My partner and I were growing more comfortable in having conversations about sex. So the sex kept getting better.

Then one day, I found the holy grail I didn’t know I needed: OMGyes.com.

OMGyes has conducted an unprecedented amount of research into women’s techniques around sexual pleasure. They’ve done in-depth interviews and surveys with thousands of women.

They distilled their findings into this website.

If you or your partner has a vulva and you can afford it, I highly recommend you invest your time and money to explore it. It’s 60 bucks now, but it’s totally worth it.

And btw, this is not an ad. If I were rich, I’d be going out of my way to buy and give away access to this site to you for free. I love it so much that I just want everyone to try it.

Anyway. At first I was hesitant. I didn’t know if it was gonna be worth the $$. But after reading a bunch of glowing reviews, I went for it. And I’m so glad I did.

Women’s sexuality is mostly taboo outside the context of men’s pleasure. Shrouded by shame, we can’t talk (or hear, or read) about what really feels good. So how can we ask for it? We can’t. So of course we’re faking orgasms.

@omgyesdotcom strips away that shame. They’ve curated their content into a series of topics and techniques shown through video interviews with women, data presented with stats, animations and diagrams, and interactive on-screen exercises. They also help set the foundation for clear communication around what feels good in sex.

It’s all very accessible, and done so tastefully.

Even if you’re already pretty good at sexin’, I can practically guarantee you’ll discover some invaluable insights.

For me, this shit was magic. It’s not a quick fix in the sense that you can just binge through the content and, “ta-da!”, unlimited orgasms. But after my partner and I took the time to explore the different topics together, it became so much easier to talk about things that are just plain hard to talk about.

Most importantly, it gave me the validation and clarity I’d never before experienced around my own pleasure.

It gave me the best orgasms of my life.

Best $40 I ever spent.

If you wanna know why it costs money, it’s basically because they have to fund the research themselves. From their website:

“It would be wonderful if public institutions would give grants for research about pleasure! Unfortunately they never have and won’t. So we have to charge something to pay for the ongoing research, production, and the salaries of an amazing team who produces and maintains OMGyes.”

And they’re also putting the money towards future projects: “We’re creating a free-to-access resource about reclaiming sexual pleasure after trauma. There’s a team working on men’s pleasure. Another on trans pleasure including after gender affirming surgery. And another working on pleasure in menopause and after childbirth. Some of these are already in the production phase.”

Isn’t this amazing???

I made myself laugh so much while drawing this post.

Also, it was fun to really observe the currency and appreciate all the minor details in its textures and patterns.

The “$40” and “bad sex” lettering is my hand-rendering of the font “Beastly” by Oh No Type Co. It’s a beautiful typeface inspired by the works of Herb Lubalin, one of my all-time fave designers.
