There will be good days and bad days.
And the good days come easy. But a bad day can strike when I least expect it.
On those days, I find comfort in humour.
Because if I can laugh, I can smile.
Even on the darkest day, if I smile, I feel a little better. Less anxious, more kind.
Love is light, except when it’s heavy. But a good joke or a funny sound can lift the weight off a difficult moment, if only for a moment. Sometimes that’s all I need.
I’ve been with my partner for almost 8 years now. We’ve grown together, and supported each other through many difficult moments.
One thing that hasn’t changed since I met him 15 years ago—he can make me laugh like no one else.
